Thanksgiving Food Drive at Southwest Community Center

11-24 lighter

Energy & Environment, Inc., held it’s first annual Thanksgiving food drive at the Southwest Community Center and it was a big success thanks to the generosity of our employees. Our Vice President of Investor Relations, Narysa Sardari along with other members from our staff delivered food donations and meet with Connie Jones, Executive Director, Jesse Allen Program Director and their friendly helpful team of volunteers. We were extremely impressed with their outreach facility and program for disadvantaged individuals in the local Santa Ana community. There is a growing demand for the services that SWCC provides due to the increasing operational costs and escalating client needs. We understand in order to meet the immediate and future needs it requires continuous support. We plan to continue to support the Southwest Community Center not only during the Holidays but as well as throughout the year. Southwest Community Center’s core values are to provide food, clothing, shelter, guidance, health and referral services to the economically disadvantaged individuals and their families. Southwest Community Center inspires all individuals they serve to achieve self-sufficiency. We learned there a few organizations in the Santa Ana area that provides the multiplicity of services. These services also include hot meals, food bags, clothing for men, women, and children, rental assistance – temporary shelter in motels, utility assistance – to avoid disconnection of electricity or gas, transportation – bus passes, health screening, job referrals, and special events – children’s parties at Easter, Halloween, Christmas and special meals during Thanksgiving and Christmas time. This was truly a privilege and honor to have the opportunity to participate, serve and give back to individuals in our Santa Ana community.
